Incunabula is Warp's Artificial Intelligence thesis made into a full album: techno for headphones and no dancefloor, the first real statement that electronic music could be built for listening rather than moving. It's the best record the whole AI series produced, patient and cerebral without turning cold. Everything the label became is visible here in embryo. It ranks at the top of this second tier because it defined a lane rather than just occupying one.
