Why it's here

Over two hours, Autechre turn rhythm into something dense, gnarled and almost architectural on Exai. Seventeen tracks and 'bladelores' alone runs past twelve minutes. Granular detail keeps accumulating until the tracks seem to generate their own internal physics. The length is demanding, but it gives those systems room to mutate.
