Feed Me Weird Things is a jazz bassist attacking a drum machine, and nobody had heard breaks cut like this before. Tom Jenkinson brought real playing to music that mostly came from programming, and the collision produced drill'n'bass as a listenable form rather than a stunt. It's where the whole thing started. It sits at thirty-eight because it's a debut still finding its edges, but the edges it found redrew the map.
