Imaginary soundtracks; the Black Dog at their most melodic and direct

Short pieces bring out the Black Dog's melodic side. Music for Adverts trades some of the trio's usual density for directness, so small tunes and precise ideas arrive before they can become systems. The restraint makes the group sound unexpectedly open. A minor statement and not a major one, and the most immediately likeable thing they made.
