Pansoul

Pansoul is the blueprint Daft Punk built on, French house before it had a name, and Daft Punk have said as much themselves. Étienne de Crécy and Philippe Zdar found the filter-house template and made it swing, and the whole French touch movement grew out of what this record established. It sits at sixty-four, below the Detroit trio it clearly studied and above the French house it launched, which is the honest place for a foundation stone.
