Why it's here
Andrew Weatherall's London: dub, dread and Wilmot
Haunted Dancehall is Andrew Weatherall's London, all dub, dread and the slow menace of 'Wilmot'. The Sabres of Paradise built a record that goes where Screamadelica couldn't, deeper into darkness and further from pop, and it's Weatherall's masterpiece. Two Lone Swordsmen and half of dark UK dance descend from this aesthetic. It was underplaced in earlier drafts by its own edit order; sixty-three is where it belongs, well above its sibling.
