Interstellar Fugitives

Interstellar Fugitives is techno as a political programme, Underground Resistance at their most militant and deliberately unpleasant. It's a collective statement more than a conventional album, dense and hostile and uncompromising, techno used as resistance rather than entertainment. It ranks at a hundred and twenty-five because that hostility limits its reach as a listening record, but as a statement of intent it's unmatched, and the politics are inseparable from the sound.
