Accelerator

Accelerator is a rave record that sounds like it's mourning something, 'Papua New Guinea' rising out of an elbow-deep bassline and an ethereal vocal into pure elegiac euphoria. FSOL made their debut a strange, sorrowful thing at a moment when most rave was pure celebration. The album leans on that one immortal single harder than anything above it. The single is one of the era's genuine peaks.
