Why it's here

Yorkshire bass weight; Warp's founding statement and the sound of a sub being tested

Frequencies is Warp's founding statement and the sound of a sub-bass being tested to destruction. Yorkshire bleep techno at its heaviest, it made low end the whole composition rather than a support for it, and the entire lineage of UK bass music runs back to it. It's thinner in its back half than its front, which is what holds it here, but the front half rewrote what electronic music could physically do to a room.
