Drexciya doing Kraftwerk tribute; the joke is affectionate and the record is great
A tribute and not an original vision, made joyfully and made well. Elektroworld is a Kraftwerk homage played so straight that affection becomes style, and the Elecktroids treat the source material with enough discipline that it never collapses into parody. The Drexciya connection gives the machine funk real bite. The fun comes from how seriously every synthetic gesture is taken.
