Helena Hauff drives Discreet Desires with raw hardware electro and acid that stays relentlessly floor-functional. The sound is austere and unglamorous. Its personality survives before any revival context is attached. 'Sworn To Secrecy' is split in two and placed third and eighth, the only structural gesture on a record otherwise built from single-take hardware takes.
