The mythology assembled; Atlantic slave ship drownings reimagined as an aquatic race

A compilation of the vision and not a single sustained work, and nobody else built a world like this. The Quest gathers Drexciya's drowned-Atlantic mythology into one object, story and rhythm inseparable. The compilation format makes the sequence uneven, but the recurring names, images and electro shapes keep pulling the pieces back into the same submerged world. Even the gaps feel like part of the map.

5 on The 10 Best Electro Albums

The mythology laid out in full, collected from twelve-inches that were never issued any other way. Rougher than Neptune's Lair and arguably the more important object of the two.

12 on The 10 Best Detroit Techno Albums

The mythology laid out in full, collected from sides that were never issued as an album. Rougher than Neptune's Lair and arguably more important.
