Drukqs is sprawling and uneven by its own maker's standard, juxtaposing frantic drill'n'bass velocity against solo prepared-piano interludes with little concern for cohesion. Even so, its best material carries more sustained rhythmic and harmonic invention than most artists manage across an entire career.
