Syro is analogue-synth funk of extraordinary mechanical detail - live-mixed hardware sequences, warm low end, rhythm programming intricate enough to function as a masterclass in the IDM and braindance vocabulary its maker invented decades earlier. As a comeback after over a decade of silence, it proved that language still had unmined depth in the hands of its originator.
