Bobby Bird's project grew out of the Oscillate club night, which gave the Midlands its own chill-out culture rather than an imported one. He recorded for Beyond and collaborated with Biosphere and Deep Space Network. Colourform and Freefloater both chart, and both are stranger than the chill-out label ever suggested.
