Colourform

Colourform is Birmingham's Oscillate club on record, and it's the most underrated ambient album of its era. The Higher Intelligence Agency built warm, spacious, quietly sophisticated ambient techno that never got the recognition the Orb or FSOL received, and it holds up better than its obscurity suggests. It closes the top fifty on merit rather than reputation. It sits here because it's a scene record rather than a landmark, but the scene deserved this good a document.
