Sabresonic

Sabresonic is Weatherall going where Screamadelica couldn't, deeper into techno and dub and further from the pop that made his name. It's the Sabres of Paradise's first statement, less realised than Haunted Dancehall but pointing clearly toward it. It ranks at ninety-one because it's the lesser of the two sibling records by a real distance, a promising sketch rather than the finished masterpiece, but the promise is unmistakable and it set up everything that followed.
