The Fires of Ork

The Fires of Ork is Namlook and Biosphere together, Fax at its most patient, two of ambient's most rigorous minds building something slow and cold and complete. It closes the top hundred as a scene record rather than a landmark, but it's a beautiful one, the sound of two artists who understood restraint pushing it as far as it would go. It ranks at a hundred because patience is its whole mode, but few records reward that patience so fully.
