Why it's here
Hitchhiker's paranoid, cinematic jungle; the majors ruined them afterwards
Exorcise the Demons is Source Direct's paranoid, cinematic jungle, techstep at its most filmic and precise before the majors got involved and ruined them. It's drum & bass built like a thriller soundtrack, all tension and shadow, and it's one of the genre's most atmospheric full-lengths. It ranks at a hundred and fifty-seven because the mood occasionally wins out over the tunes, but the mood is genuinely gripping, and it caught a duo at their creative peak just before the fall.
