Why it's here
Full Cycle's philosopher; Bristol D&B at its most cerebral
Coded Language is Full Cycle's philosopher, Bristol D&B at its most cerebral, Krust bringing an intellectual weight to drum & bass that the genre rarely carried. It's a record with genuine ideas about rhythm and space and the politics underneath, and it holds up as one of the more thoughtful full-lengths the scene produced. It ranks at a hundred and seventy-seven because the cerebral ambition occasionally cools the record down, but the thinking is real, and the best of it is genuinely deep.
