Quique

Quique is a guitar band discovering loops, the missing link between My Bloody Valentine and Warp. Seefeel took shoegaze's wall of sound and dissolved it into rhythm and repetition, and in doing so they built a bridge that a whole strand of ambient and IDM later walked across. It's a genuinely strange hybrid that shouldn't cohere and does. A first attempt at a new thing, and the new thing was worth attempting.

Guitars processed until they become texture. Sits exactly between shoegaze and ambient techno and fathered both conversations.
