Quique

Quique is a guitar band discovering loops, the missing link between My Bloody Valentine and Warp. Seefeel took shoegaze's wall of sound and let it dissolve into rhythm and repetition, and in doing so they built a bridge that a whole strand of ambient and IDM later walked across. It's a genuinely strange hybrid that shouldn't cohere and does. It ranks at forty-seven because it's a first attempt at a new thing, but the new thing was worth attempting.
