Blood Music: Pentamerous Metamorphosis is a Chapterhouse remix album that dissolves its source completely, until nothing of the original band remains except a mood. Global Communication treated the remix brief as license to build something wholly their own, five long pieces of drifting, patient ambient that stand entirely apart from what they came from. It's one of the great transformation records. It sits at forty-six because it's a companion to 76:14 rather than its equal, but it's proof the duo could do it twice.
