Rabit pushes grime into harsher industrial territory on Communion and its skeletal rhythmic logic survives. Metallic texture and empty space define the tracks, while each rupture is placed for maximum unease. 'Glass Harp Interlude' sits ninth of eleven, the only soft thing in the running order and placed where it does most damage.
№ 13 on The 10 Best Experimental and Deconstructed Club Albums
Grime hollowed out into something ceremonial, all gunshots and silence. Texan, and almost nobody else attempted the comparison.
