Mutant

Mutant pushes further into raw, abrasive sound design than its predecessor, favoring queasy synthesis and structural instability over legible groove. Twenty tracks and eleven under three minutes, so 'Mutant' at seven is the only place the record stops to breathe. Rhythm appears in broken glimpses, then buckles or disappears, leaving the sound design itself to carry it's tension.

Longer and more formless than Xen, and for some people the better record. It sprawls where Xen strikes.
