Black Noise makes melodic techno almost organic. 'Im Bann' is the one short track among ten long ones, and it works as a held breath. Pantha du Prince folds bell-like percussion, dub-techno space and melancholy hooks into tracks that shimmer and keep pulse, creating an atmosphere whose delicacy never weakens the floor underneath.
