Carboot Soul

Carboot Soul is Warp's Leeds veterans at their most generous, 'Les Nuits' and a whole record of warm, soulful, sample-rich downtempo. Nightmares on Wax refined the Smokers Delight sound into something even more polished and inviting, and it's some of the most purely pleasurable music the label released. It ranks at a hundred and fifty-nine because it's a refinement rather than a leap, but the refinement is lovely, and few downtempo records are this easy to return to.
