Bluff Limbo is Rephlex-era Paradinas, the melody buried under deliberate damage, µ-Ziq at his most wonky and experimental. It's a record that takes real tunes and warps them into awkward, glitchy, deliberately imperfect shapes, and the tension between the melody and the damage is the point. It ranks at a hundred and eighty because that awkwardness makes it uneven, but the invention is genuine, and it's a distinctive early statement from a restless mind.
