Mala in Cuba treats Cuban rhythm and dubstep low end as materials to be negotiated rather than layered superficially. Percussion, horns and sub-bass keep pulling it in different directions. The most interesting moments come when the fusion stays slightly unsettled. 'Changuito' is named for the percussionist who plays on it. It is the whole project's method in one title.
