The Traveler

The Traveler is Shed taking four-on-the-floor techno and loosening the bolts until breakbeats start falling out. Hard drums still carry Berlin weight, but the sudden rhythmic shifts keep opening gaps in the groove, giving the album a nervous mobility his straighter records do not have. Fourteen tracks in fifty minutes and '... Can't Feel It' lasts forty-eight seconds, so the album keeps moving on before a groove settles.
