Why it's here

Warp's Detroit signing; more melodic and more melancholy than Azimuth

Metaphor is Warp's Detroit signing at his most melodic and most melancholy, Kenny Larkin going even deeper into feeling than he did on Azimuth. It's a record of real emotional range, techno that carries genuine sadness without ever turning maudlin, and it's one of the finest things the AI-adjacent Detroit strand produced. It ranks at a hundred and thirty-eight because it's a refinement of his own established mode, but the refinement is beautiful, and few techno records feel this deeply.
