Why it's here
An Ending (Ascent) is the most borrowed cue in electronic music
'An Ending (Ascent)' has become ambient shorthand for wonder, but Apollo earns that track by surrounding it with quieter variations on weightlessness, distance and suspension. The famous cue feels inevitable only after the rest of the album has changed the scale of the room. On a rave list it sits at honest altitude, but 'An Ending' is one of the most beautiful things anyone here made.
