Beyond the Infinite is goa with cinematic ambition, Juno Reactor building psy-trance with a scale and a drama that most of the genre lacked, and the Matrix hired them for a reason. It's trance that reaches for the epic and mostly gets there, more composed and more filmic than the scene's norm. It ranks at a hundred and eighty-two because goa's reputation works against it and the drama occasionally overreaches, but the ambition is real, and it's one of the genre's finest.
