Zauberberg

Zauberberg is the darkest of the GAS records, a four-four pulse buried under trees, ambient techno pushed toward something genuinely ominous. Voigt made a record that feels like walking into a forest at night, beauty and dread inseparable. It ranks at a hundred and fifteen because it works the same seam as Königsforst rather than opening a new one, but it works it differently and just as well, and the mood it builds is unforgettable.
