Rausch is Gas with the escape routes sealed. Four untitled pieces where Narkopop had eleven, and the compression is the whole difference. Orchestral haze, buried pulse and repetition compress into one continuous mass, and the usual forest imagery starts to feel less pastoral than claustrophobic. This time the trees are not scenery; they are walls.
