Bon Iver and Kurt Wagner are folded into the groove on Knock Knock instead of placed around it. DJ Koze holds on to the deadpan house craft while opening it toward genuine pop songwriting, making collaboration feel like an extension of his voice. 'Pick Up' is the one that got away from him, six minutes of Gladys Knight that a DJ set cannot survive without.
