Discovery took filter-house's most ecstatic tricks - chopped disco loops, vocoder hooks, arena-scale builds - and organized them into one unbroken emotional arc from 'One More Time' onward, proving dance music could sustain full-album architecture without losing club function. Its sample language and vocoder aesthetic rewired French touch, pop production and a generation of hip-hop and R&B sampling well beyond dance music's own borders.
