Kevin Hedge, Josh Milan and founder Chris Herbert wrote and sang their own material at a point when most house records were being assembled rather than composed. 25 Years Later runs closer to Motown than to Chicago and works as a song cycle rather than a collection. Proof, if the genre needed it, that a house album could carry a full record's worth of meaning.
