Toby Marks came up through the free festival circuit and Planet Dog, and his records carry that scene's particular mix of politics and pharmaceuticals. Last Train to Lhasa folds field recordings into ambient dub without letting any of it turn into wallpaper. Still the finest hour the chill tent ever produced, and more moving than that description suggests.
