Before Lhasa and more restrained than it
Before Last Train to Lhasa expanded the idea, Maya kept Banco de Gaia's global ambient tighter and lighter. The samples sit inside more focused compositions, and the atmosphere survives without the later record's sprawl. Last Train to Lhasa is the more ambitious record and ranks accordingly. This one is the tighter, and it has been overshadowed ever since.
