Accident in Paradise

Accident in Paradise is Frankfurt's ringmaster, Harthouse and Eye Q's founding aesthetic, Sven Väth building the template for German trance when it still meant something delicate. It's trance before the stadiums, more textured and exploratory than the genre would later become, and it captures a scene at its most inventive moment. It ranks at a hundred and sixty-eight because it's a scene document as much as a personal statement, but the scene it documents was genuinely exciting, and the record holds up.
