Why it's here

San Francisco's answer to the Orb, with better bass

Sea Biscuit is San Francisco's answer to the Orb, ambient techno with better bass and a West Coast warmth. Spacetime Continuum built spacious, melodic, deeply pleasant tracks that stand comfortably alongside the British ambient of the era. It ranks at ninety-seven because it's a fine example of a sound rather than an expansion of one, but it's one of the better American entries in a scene that was mostly European, and it holds up.
