Robert Fripp and The Orb; guitar loops folded into ambient house

FFWD folds Robert Fripp's guitar treatments into the Orb's ambient-house drift and blurs both vocabularies at the edges. The guitar adds a grain and harmonic movement the Orb's usual palette did not have, while the surrounding electronics keep Fripp from sounding like a guest soloist. It is a curiosity as much as a canon record. Nothing in either catalog resembles it. Fripp never sounds pasted on, and the Orb never disappear behind him.
