Surfing on Sine Waves is Aphex under an alias, and 'Quoth' is the hardest thing he made that decade. It's Polygon Window rather than Aphex Twin for a reason: colder, more mechanical, less interested in melody than in what a rhythm can do when it stops caring about comfort. It's one of the strongest entries in Warp's early run. It sits at thirty-six because it's a facet of him rather than the full range, but the facet is razor-sharp.
