The Deepest Cut is the most beautiful thing the Amen break ever did, 'Renegade Snares' turning jungle's most-used rhythm into something genuinely moving. Omni Trio found the emotion in atmospheric drum & bass and made a record that a whole strand of the genre followed. It ranks at a hundred and twenty-one because the album is carried by its peaks more than sustained across its length, but those peaks are jungle liturgy, and few tracks in the genre are this loved.
