Why it's here

The Disco's of Imhotep sounds like Chicago house being pulled apart by free-jazz instincts. Hieroglyphic Being cuts the drums raw and the structures loose and the Afrofuturist framing deliberately unruly, making the album feel less polished than alive with competing ideas. 'Heru' and 'The Shrine Of The Serpent Goddess' are both barely a minute, placed where a tidier record would have built bridges.
