Tom Thiel and Max Loderbauer were Berlin's ambient techno gardeners, releasing through R&S and their own label while the city was still deciding what techno meant. Loderbauer later worked with Moritz von Oswald and Ricardo Villalobos. Kitchen is early nineties German electronics at its most organic and least interested in the floor.
