Karl Bonnie, Gary Asquith and Danny Briottet came out of post-punk with a sampler and a grudge, and prefigured both big beat and UK bass culture while both were still rumours. Probably a Robbery is the famous one. Soundclash around it is meaner, and it catches London's underside more accurately than anything else from the period.
