Jerrilynn Patton worked at a steel mill in Gary, Indiana while making the most rigorous rhythmic music of her generation. Black Origami abstracts footwork until the genre is a memory and what remains is pure architecture. She has never belonged to a scene, which is audible in records that answer to nothing but their own logic.
