Simon Posford is more or less what remains listenable of Goa trance thirty years later. He founded Twisted, later formed Shpongle with Raja Ram, and engineers with a precision the genre rarely bothered with. Twisted is still the album people reach for to explain what the style was capable of before it collapsed into formula.
