Harald Blüchel studied composition and gave early Berlin trance the romantic streak it later mislaid entirely. He worked with Paul van Dyk as The Visions of Shiva and recorded for MFS while the label was still working out what German trance meant. Stellar Supreme catches the genre as an experiment with melody rather than a superclub formula.
